...it's still in the wall, but higher up now. I also haven't heard nearly as much noise as I did last night, which definitely leads me to believe that the culprit is raccoons. At least I don't think any animals are stuck anymore, hopefully just hanging out, getting out of the snow. I personally don't mind them being there, as long as they follow natural raccoon behavior and leave the den in a couple weeks to go teach the youngens. I don't think there's any real concerns for me and Marc other than one of them getting stuck, or the big one getting loose in the house and attacking one of us or meatball. (I don't care what you say Marc, that's now her name) As far as I know raccoons aren't big on chewing through wires, but they still could, which means a fire hazard. Sooooo, I'm gonna wait and see.
In a couple days I'll probably take a look at the side of the house to look for holes. If there are any I could try to cover them, but there's not much of a point if her babies are in the attic.
