Yesterday my friend Eric came into Boston from Cincinnati. He was staying at a hotel right down the street, so I went and picked him up. We decided to take the T into Boston, because we figured that since we weren't going near Fenway really, we should just take the subway to avoid traffic, not to mention the stupid amount parking lots charge in the city. So, we parked at Orient Heights, and got on the train. Bad choice.. T the Airport station, we hear an announcement, "Airport will be your last stop, to continue on inbound service, please take the free shuttle buss upstairs.", awesome. So up we go, and board the bus. Of course the driver takes the ass backwards route through Chelsea, and over the Tobin Bridge. As luck would have it, the bus broke down, at the very top of the bridge. Standing alongside 30 other people on the top of a bridge, and getting screamed at by MBTA employees was not my idea of public transportation. Given the fact that the bridge has been in disrepair for pretty much my entire life, my fear of heights, and the recent catastrophes involving tunnels and bridges, didn't make it any easier. In the end though, It was definitely interesting. Eric took a few pictures when we were up there, I'll post em when he gets back to Ohio.

We walked from The Haymarket stop, through Quincy Market, and up to Government Center, and took the T to Newbury. Eric got some rad shoes that all the folks back home will surely envy, and I finally picked up the new Aesop Rock at Newbury Comics. No more promo shit at the beginning of every track. We then headed over to Pappa Razzi and got a couple drinks. I was sort of grilled by the older lady sitting next to me, about my piercings, and how I'm too pretty for this shit. She wasn't your typical old broad, she was wearing a jacket that was worth more than a months rent in this apartment, and Chanel necklaces. She informed me that it would look terrible when I get old, and proceeded to shoo me away when I brought up leaving before the end of the game.

We caught a cab and went back to my car, so I could go home and get Guitar Hero. We went back to the hotel, he checked in with his wife, and we played the shit out of some songs. I didn't stay late, because of my lack of sleep the previous night.

All around it was a good time. It's refreshing to hang out with people who aren't giving me shit all the time..
