Ok, so I'm not making light of this, at all. It sucks, huge.
But perhaps, just maybe..
GIVING A KID WITH A HEART CONDITION A WII IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOCKEY GAME IS JUST STUPID.
Awesome, your son won a Wii, that's great.. but as his father, knowing he has a condition that speeds his heart rate, don't you think the excitement of winning a video game system might be a bit much for him? I would lose my shit if someone told me I won a Wii, and I'm 24. There are things you just have to miss out on when you have a medical condition.. and to be a responsible parent, you have to be concerned about the health of your kid, not just their happiness. I wanted to keep playing soccer as a kid, but I have asthma. My mother put a stop to my playing, and I'm glad she did, or something could've happened to me.
This story is just really sad..
..Damn you Nintendo... You've taken another life.
